Poetry for People

Third Monday of each month from 7:00 - 9:30 pm, check calendar for next workshop.   A poetry workshop for practicing poets and all who wish to explore their desire to write poetry.  Space is limited, pre-registration required.  For more information, contact Jim Glaser or the Hopper House.

Learn about the medium, watch a short demonstration, and then try your hand on your own portrait.

Creating your own Small Works of Great Importance*

Saturday, October 4, 10 am - 12:30 pm

Instructor: Jeanie Neyer

Create your own small works using a variety of media, including paper, felt-tipped markers, graphite, and colored pencils, oil pastels and collage elements. 

$24 Hopper House members: $28 non-members.  Pre-registration required.

School Vacation Art Workshops

Monday, October 11 - 11 AM - 12 PM: Ages 7-9; 1 - 2:30 PM: Ages 10-12

Instructor: Sandy Levine

Create your own Small Matters shadow box and explore watercolors when local artist Sandy Levine combines the two in a multi-media workshop. Bring small items from home, like toys or buttons or nature objects, like stones or shells and together with some basic watercolor techniques students will create their own Small Matter of Great Importance. Shadow boxes and watercolor supplies will be provided.
